With the money these overpaid crybabies make, you'd think they would get a thicker skin. I'm glad they arrested him, and I'm a Rangers fan.

``It was a real break from the normal trash you hear from fans. We've had problems about every time we've come here,'' he said. You want to do something about it Buck? How about beating the A's for once.

Those rude fans should have been removed by security long before the 9th inning. That's what they're for - to defuse potentially explosive situations.
Having said that, there is absolutely no excuse for attacking a fan like that. Francisco should be suspended for the rest of the year without pay.

i saw it on sports center last night. the guy has it coming. he needs to be charged - and this needs to be an object lesson.
john kruk had a rather good speech about player behavior during a game with the fans..

After the game, Rangers manager Buck Showalter said the fans ``went over the line.'' ``It was a real break from the normal trash you hear from fans. We've had problems about every time we've come here,'' he said. I like Buck Showalter, and I think he's done a great job with the Rangers, but this comment is just plain stupid. There was no excuse for that kind of behavior. When you stoop to throwing chairs into the stands, you have allowed the fans to get to you and have lost all focus on your mission-winning the game.

Ratings winner: Combine Championship Wrestling with Monday Night Baseball and Survivor. Athletes and fans can duke it out; spectators can bet on the winners. For a finale, throw Dan Rather into the stadium with spear and force him to battle a wild hyena, a lion Lesley Stahl, and a Grizzly bear.
Call it the 21st Century Coliseum Games on CBS.

He needs to ask Kobe for advice. The background of the lady in question surely will mitigate any arrest. We cannot have our millionaire sports figures being maligned by such people.
