Kerry as a Bronx Bomber? (Lib delusion alert)
The Los Angeles Times ^ | September 14, 2004 | Robert Scheer

Posted on 09/14/2004 9:46:33 AM PDT by camboianchristmas

How I wish that John Kerry had grown up in my old neighborhood in the Bronx. It drives me crazy that he doesn't have the street smarts to call those GOP bums out. He's got to be outraged. Not only have his combat-shy opponents stood idly by as their surrogates trashed his Vietnam War record, Vice President Dick Cheney, stooping to a despicable low, said a vote for Kerry was tantamount to a vote for Osama bin Laden and terrorism. Yes, Kerry is rightly pointing out in his stump speech that the war in Iraq is a deadly distraction from the very real fight to prevent Al Qaeda and like-minded groups from committing more atrocities. But it seems the veteran senator is too much of a gentleman to point out the elephant in the room, the obvious flaw in the Republican Party's claim that it is the only party that knows how to keep us safe: After all, it was Cheney and George W. Bush who were on watch when 19 poorly trained hijackers were easily able to breach the nation's security apparatus and commit mass murder despite frantic, prescient warnings from the CIA. Yet, not only has this administration not held anybody accountable for this mind-boggling dereliction of duty, it shamelessly milks the tragedy for political gain. p>

This is not an article or an opinion or an editorial.

It is a red-faced rant in the style of Dean or Gore.

and I say...

LET THE RANTING COMMENCE!

hehehe

Scheer started his career with Ramparts, a New Left magazine of the Sixties that was far, far left. He's still out there somewhere, but his paycheck now reads "Los Angeles Times/Chicago Tribune Corp."

It would be nice to say "How the mighty have fallen," but it's hard to fall from the basement window.

And here I was under the assumption that the LA Times was a left, left wing rag. Silly me. :0)

Perhaps this lib is on to something here. Perhaps after his reelection, he might begin to realize that W - after winning elections against Ann Richards and semi-incumbent Al Gore - is not the doofus that the left insists he is.

What's Kerry gonna do - challenge the Pubbies to nuances at 50 paces?

Scheer is the ONLY op=ed writer that is guaranteed to be in the Tuesday paper EVERY WEEK. There is no other, only Scheer. I wouldn't wrap a fish with his tripe. My advice, DON'T READ HIS SH*T, why bother.

Robert Scherr is THE number one reason I canceled my LA TIMES subscription. He's the Michael Moore of editorials, insane, angry and blathering, yet he is continually published in that rag. Freepers in LA know what I'm talking about. He can say the most horrific things and no one calls him on it. What he said after Reagan died was the straw on the camel. What a yutz.

I stopped the La Times delivery to my home during the recall. I look at it as a tabloid, just not as entertaining or creative as the National Enquirer.
The last time they called to get me to subscribe I politely told them no thanks, we use toilet paper.

Yeah, that's it. Kerry should sound even more like Michael Moore than he does now. That will guarantee him a landslide!
