Actually, I've been wondering for several years when that old coot was gonna retire. Maybe this will be the straw that broke the liberals back...

I figure he'll go about another year and then retire. They don't want him to "resign" and ruin his career ... but his days are officially numbered. They'll wait until it all blows over and then give him a ceremonial retirement.

Rather will hang on through the election, I bet. 2005 may see a new anchor on See BS Evening News, you think?

What did Rather know and when did he know it?

"I'm distressed," one longtime CBS correspondent, who asked not to be identified, told the New York Times.
I swear, until this very moment I was totally unaware that Tom I'm distressed Daschle was a longtime CBS correspondent.

"Innocent mistake". If someone at Fox News, or a Rush Limbaugh, Drudge, etc., had come out with these documents they would be accused of more than shoddy jounalism.
Dan's rush to bash Bush backfired, "Big Time", and shows his usual arrogance to his customers. I will not be sorry to see his sorry butt go, and we are all better off for his leaving.

When will Dan resign? The longer he is there, the quicker the demise of CBS. He's now the face of phony liberal biased news.

The words I want to hear more than anything in the world - "Hello, welcome to CBS NEWS. Bernard Goldberg reporting. Dan Rather is on assignment."

When will Dan resign?I don't know, but if he does, I wonder if he will say, "I'm not a crook?"
