My fear is after the election is over, a new wave of calls to regulate the internet will be heard. If the dems and left think the internet was the main factor in a defeat, they will stop at nothing close it down.

We never thought CFR would be successful because of the regulation (outlawing) of free politcal speech prior to an election. They did it then. They will do it now.

The old media loves CFR. In their perfect world, CFR insured Rather could have run that story without answer from the public. The internet will be regarded as a loophole which must be closed. Because of the incumbency protection of CFR, closing that loophole will have the same bipartisan support as CFR.

Yeah I worry about it too. A lot actually. God help us if that happens.

What can they do? Shut down forums? Outlaw blogging? License links? The paradigm has changed and there is no going back.
