Depends on what you're hunting. I like Cadillacs in the Navada desert, personally.
I have a severely handicapped customer who uses a .50 BMG to hunt.
He shoots "Sabot" .30 cal. bullets in it.
He can legally shoot from a vehicle, but does not.
What he does do is set up on a ridge top, and wait for an Antelope to come in range.
Then he and his grand-son load up their equipment and drive to the downed animal.
