Comparing the CBS memos with a replication produced on Microsoft Word, he noticed a slight variation in the boldness of the letters, as there is on many typewritten documents. "It doesn't look like you can do this very easily," he said. "If you use something like Photoshop you could come close to faking it, but why not just go out and buy a Selectric for $75?"

Ok then. So why doesn't someone just go out and buy a Selectric for $75 and collect the $30k+ and prove Dan Blather right? Seems like that should be a quick and easy profit.

Is this all CBS has? I feel like they are insulting my intelligence. Give me a break. Perhaps the boldness of the characters changed slightly in the faxing/copying moron! Where does CBS find these people? DU perhaps?

Richard Katz, go out and buy yourself a $75 selectric and collect your $30k+. You won't because you can't and you know it. Liar.

They are insulting the intelligence of all their viewers. When proof is demanded, here is all they offer:

Our story is true. You’re dealing with professionals. We’re firmly convinced the the memos are authentic and the stories are accurate. The story was thoroughly vetted. We are confident about the chain of custody. We’re confident in how we secured the documents.

That's the equivalent, in somber journalistic diction, of "Are too! Are too! Are too!"
