Wow! Matley does have integrity! Dan Rather, who has no integrity in his own right, will have to a much better job of screening his 'experts' in future hit pieces on the President.
Oh really? I think this is more an issue of he's worried how he's going to feed and clothe himself in the future if he relies on his expert witness evaluations to bring home the bacon. Which court would deem him an expert witness if he maintained the documents' authenticity after all that's come out?
Matley is deserting a sinking ship. Rather doesn't have that option. By coming out so strongly on Friday night, he's boxed himself in. He can't equivocate now and if he admits what everyone else knows, that the documents are forgeries, he'll face unbelievable pressure to out the forger. I think that is what he wants to avoid at all costs.
