The lead expert retained by CBS News to examine disputed memos from President Bush's former squadron commander in the National Guard said yesterday that he examined only the late officer's signature and made no attempt to authenticate the documents themselves.

This frequency ain't gonna sound good, Kennneth.
I am still waiting for someone to be interviewed by Dan Rather on this issue and yells: " Baa Baa Booeeey "!!!
"If the Washington Post prints it, even if it's four days late, does that mean that it finally exists? Or do we need the paper of record, The New York Times, to fess up too?"
Well it should be interesting. The WaPo decided on the side of the truth, hoping to save its reputation. What will the Grey Lady do, go down with the Kerry/CBS ship or sink em.
We can't lose.
Great post from Animal House - maybe See-B.S. has placed Dan on "Double Secret Probation"!!!
>> I knew going in that this was dynamite one way or the other, and I knew that potentially it could do far more potential damage to me professionally than benefit me, and I knew that. But we seek the truth, that's what we do. You're supposed to put yourself out, to seek the truth and take what comes from it.

"Dan goeth before a fall." He'll have a lot of explainin' to do on Election Day.
Bumpity bump
That is brilliant!
CBS is falling down, falling down, falling down.
CBS is falling down, because of Dan Rather.
Let the President of CBS News, Andrew Heyward know by FAX at:

Fellow Freepers, show some compassion. Start the suicide watch!
Oh really? I think this is more an issue of he's worried how he's going to feed and clothe himself in the future if he relies on his expert witness evaluations to bring home the bacon. Which court would deem him an expert witness if he maintained the documents' authenticity after all that's come out?
Rather needs FReeping by Freepers in pajamas.
Freepers s/b FReepers
And the signatures have already been discredited by other handwriting experts. Not a good month for Matley.
Well we knew that.
So this is the last cBS expert standing that is falling over. cBS is left with a typewriter repairman to authenticate the docs. OK, so let him type a dupe and we will see.
Looks like Dan is in deep doodoo.
I watched cBS jump their shark tonight. It wasn't pretty.
THATS GREAT!!!LOL
That was Howard Fineman of Newsweek who was on Scarborough Country tonight, not Howard Kurtz of the Washington Post. Fineman said that outside of CBS, the entire journalistic community was highly suspicious of these documents.
