Free Republic was just mentioned on Scarborough as one of the sources who have discredited Dan Rather, and as part of the new Internet world with which people like Rather have to deal. Rather is Old School. He doesn't get it.
Joe should have dug out the quote from that old fart Walter Cronkite in which he castigated the "unreliable" world of internet news.
JOE'S FATHER WAS RIGHT! Cronkite is nothing to be proud of. He helped American lose Vietnam politically when we had won militarily. For that, he should never be forgiven.
Yeah, FR has gotten credit for this. Shoot, LA Times actually used one of my posts this weekend.
Count me in for the jammies. Lets organize a nationwide election night pajama party, so all of us who love America can watch President Bush get re-elected.
You should all have your own election night PJ parties...after voting, of course.
Man, that is pretty cool.
He has been pounding this for weeks and I think it is warranted. He talked today about his 'unpaid' duty/consultant as working for the Bush-Cheney campaign but it is really tongue-in-cheek entertainment for the unseasoned. Now that it is obvious Kerry is a dead horse Rush is simply beating the dolt over he head with it.
Bump and hold.
Kidding. ;) We are getting famous though.
It is truly a new age. The MSM still doesn't get it. They've grown up shoveling out their propaganda to helpless sheep with no freedom of the press, since we didn't happen to own one.
Now, the bozos look at us as insurrectionist sheep, unhappy with the pap they're feeding us, and using the internet to complain.
But they're still one full step behind the curve. The blogosphere with communities like FR, is now an independent news GENERATION organism, that is much more informed - since it has thousands of people directly involved in the areas and issues where news happens, and it is responsive - since there is no regal pinhead dictating what IS to everybody else.
The ONLY thing they have is a legacy, and the pomp and circumstance of yesterday's media kingdom, which is now laughably quaint, as the internet bypass relegates them to the equivalent of a Spittle County tollbooth.
Hehehe.

Most excellent Post (Post 13).
I think it's one of those wierd, FReeping things. Some will even admit that they're not wearing their pajamas, as if we need that mental picture. :)
Thanks for the invite! I'll be there in my silk wrap, raising a glass in toast to our magnificent Bush/Cheney team.
Thanks for the bump and hold. I appreciate it.
Thank you. I appreciate the nice sentiments.
The truth is are aim and we will find it one way or another.
"What the hell is a blogger and is it legal?"
It depends on what you're doing while blogging. Some things are completely legal while blogging. Some things aren't. Of course if you're blogging in your own home, then almost everything is legal as long as you're a consenting blogging adult.
And then there's always blogging for money, which can in itself be illegal. But the most important thing to remember is that when you're blogging for money, make sure you're blogging at home. Either way then, it's none of my blogging business. :)
