Democrats are cleverer, better dressed and better looking...

Holy smokes! This character hasn't seen any Democrat women standing along side Republican women, likely for at least the last 30 years.

Is he kidding? He has never been to the fattest parts of the ghetto and watched Sheila Jackson Lee's constituents waddle to the polls. Or how about the homeless, who are usually bathless and toothless, who vote at least once in every election for the Democrats? He definitely has a different standard of beauty and sophistication than I do.

Hollywood??? Intellectual???

BTW, I know this is changing the subject, but did you see that thing they called Troy?

Also--I know this is off the subject too--but where did Barbra Streisand go to college?

What is Spengler's *problem?* He's as obsessed with looks and fashion as the Europeans at whom he sneers. You just want to shake these people and say, "Americans are fat! So what? Get over it!"

Hollywood, in its chosen role as arbiter of what we hear and see, demands the right to define the term to suit itself. It represents hard-science people as being socially maladjusted dorks, while liberal arts types are inevitaby depicted as being witty, open-minded fighters for truth and justice as Barbra Streisand defines them.

Speaking of Barbra, is she still hanging her laundry out on the clothes line?
