WASHINGTON Democrats this week will launch a new nationwide campaign attacking the president's Air National Guard duty as more people come forward questioning the authenticity of certain documents purporting to show that a young George W. Bush shirked his military duties over 30 years ago.
The Democratic National Committee (search) will launch "Operation Fortunate Son" and will host related events in key battleground states, according to a party spokesman.
The party plans to raise questions about fliers from Bush's 1978 congressional campaign in Texas, saying he claimed to have served in the regular Air Force, not just the Guard.

How is it that dozens of democratic operatives have saturated the news for weeks now claiming that Bush is directly involved with the Swiftboat 527 Ads against Kerry, while here is a concentrated ad campaign blatantly coordinated by the DNC that will inculde 527 ads as well that challenge Bush's military record?
Am I the only one hot under the collar about this?

Easy...because the Demonrats are HYPOCRITS!
It's time to take the gloves off.

Kerry fabricated his war record, didn't earn most of his medals.

Lied about what he did during the war.

Called American soldiers war criminals.

Engaged in treason by meeting with the enemy to negotiate the destruction of South Vietnam.

Kerry's war record, such at it really is, should be fatal to his candidacy.
I might be ticked off if they weren't so bad at it.

From http://www.ang.af.mil/ :

"Although the Air National Guard was not established as a separate component of the U.S. Air Force until 1947..."
Man, I am really worried now. This is the Silver Bullet the Democrats needed to sink the Bush campaign! This is going to be seen by the American public, and they will turn on Bush with vengeance! <\EXTREME SARCASM>
You would think at some point the Dems would realize this strategy is simply not working and is actually hurting them. As each day passes, I am more convinced that they are trying to lose.
These lamebrains aren't even original.

Its like replying "Oh, yeah? Well.... you too!"
Yippppeeeee for us!
I'm fine with it. It's an issue that's going nowhere with the voters and one that only reinforces the fact that the Kerry campaign is offering no solutions to the problems they claim we face. He can beat this dead horse from now until November. It'll only hurt his campaign in the end.
Bring it on. Better luck with the new forgeries.
I wouldn't worry about it. At this point it just looks like wild flailing from the Kerry camp. I think it scares people away from Kerry.
" . . .but how is it that the RNC has not run ads questioning Kerry's military record . . ."

Because it doesn't have to.
They better strike while the iron is hot...because the CBS forgeries are unravelling quickly.
And I remember when he copied my homework once in 4th grade . . .
Terry McAuliffe (DNC BIG WIG) putting $100,000 in Global Crossing and making 18 million off a company that scamed tens of millions from American citizens.

I think it is time for an call to investigate real crime.

Ops4 God BLess America!
If it isn't clear that this was an orchestrated Kerry attack against W, using the liberal media as a tool, I don't know what is. The memos are fakes, but they're going to push on anyway, because that's the plan, and it's their only hope, poor as it is.
Bingo. Keep talking, Dems. See you at
W's swearing in, in January.
Didn't the DNC already do this?? Wasn't that what Dan Rather was doing using their forged documents?
Another Gomer Pyle moment. The DNC launches a National Guard ad campaign 3 or 4 days after Dan Rather does a National Guard hit piece based on forged documents. Surprise, surprise, surprise (with apologies to Jim Nabors).
I prefer to read the definition provided by the Air Force Personel office:
http://www.afpc.randolph.af.mil/sascasstats/Help/FAQ.asp

Definitions

Active Duty

An employment status of the United States Air Force personnel that states the member was Regular Air Force, or Air National Guard or Air Force Reserve in training or on duty.
