Keeping the press and political campaigns apart is what the Founders had in mind when they granted us special First Amendment privileges. Thomas Jefferson & Co. hoped the press would keep an eye on those seeking power - not try to help them obtain it. Bill O'Reilly constitutional scholar. It just proves my father's point that you can educate anyone but you can't make them learn anything.

These people are commentators, not reporters. They are employed by CNN because of their connections to the democratic party so that they are in a position to give the democratic perspective. In the same way as CNN bring in commentators with connections to the GOP to give their insight.
The rest of the article is just run of the mill o'reilly persecution complex.
CNN is trailing FNC in the ratings but as a company they are still making a healthy profit due to their huge popularity across the world.

Let Carville stay at CNN so we can see him wear a trashcan once again November 2:

It's a right not a privilege and you were born with it, it wasn't granted. See that it gets plenty of exercise and it will stay healthy.

I'll submit to you that if Greta Van Susteren and I signed on with Bush/Cheney 2004, The New York Times would have passed out torches and the media mob would have stormed the Fox News castle. Hey...Greta (alone) might be a nice addition to W's campaign staff. ;)

A jounalist is a campaign advisor???
This is unbelievable. They are so damn bold at this point, there is no hope. The whole industry is embedded and there is no checks and balances.
I'll be glad when this generation starts to 'rebel' against the obvious liberalism and we start infiltrating with conservative journalists. I don't want it slanted in the other direction either, but HONESTLY!!

You are right about the fact that they are commentators, but if they are working for both Kerry and CNN they have a conflict of interest. They should resign one or the other. When Peggy Noonan signed on to the Bush campaign, she took a leave of absense from the WSJ editorial page. She has some class, though.
