GAZIANTEP - One of three terrorists who attempted to plant a bomb on railway bridge near Dortyol town of southern city of Hatay was captured in southeastern city of Gaziantep, sources said on Saturday.
It was learned that the captured terrorist was preparing to bomb Gaziantep governor's office.
Sources told A.A correspondent that Anti-Terrorism Office and intelligence teams captured Adil Abi when he was checking the area around the governor's office for a terrorist attack he was planning. Another person who was with Adi escaped.
Sources noted that Adil Abi told police that he was among people who tried to plant a bomb on railway bridge near Dortyol township and they were also preparing to bomb Gaziantep governor's office.
Abi said that he joined terrorist organization in 2000 and he was trained in the north of Iraq, noting that they entered Turkey from southeastern city of Sirnak ten days ago as a 50-member group who were assigned to stage bomb attacks in Turkey by Murat Karayilan, one of heads of terrorist organization.
Terrorist Abi stated that he and other two people planted a bomb in front of an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) of a bank branch in Dortyol in Hatay and noted that seven or eight people were injured in the explosion.
Abi said that when they were trying to place the bomb on railway bridge, the bomb exploded, adding that he and another person escaped from the scene after the explosion.
Four other people who aided and abetted Abi were also captured.
Abi, who was brought from Gaziantep to Hatay, later reenacted in the railway bridge.
I hope they put the guy in a Turkish prison.
I hope they beat the stuffing out of that turkey.
