Los Angeles Times No Disputing It: Blogs Are Major Players.
I'd Rather Be Blogging CBS stonewalls as "guys in pajamas" uncover a fraud.
*** . If it turns out that the Killian memos are indeed forgeries, the Internet will have played an invaluable role in exposing the fraud much faster than the 18 months Mr. Camacho had to twist in the wind. Free Republic, a Web bulletin board, raised early warning signals about the memos within hours of last Wednesday's "60 Minutes" broadcast. Powerlineblog.com, a site run by three lawyers, reposted those comments, which were amplified by indcjournal.com. Then design expert Charles Johnson, who blogs at littlegreenfootballs.com, retyped one of the memos using Microsoft Word and showed them to be a perfect typographic match.
A defensive Dan Rather went on the air Friday to complain of what he called a "counterattack" from "partisan political operatives." In reality, traditional journalism now has a new set of watchdogs in the "blogosphere." In the words of blogger Mickey Kaus, they can trade information and publicize it "fast enough to have real-world consequences." Sure, blogs can be transmission belts for errors, vicious gossip and last-minute disinformation efforts. But they can also correct themselves almost instantaneously--in sharp contrast with CBS's stonewalling. *** FR post
Credibility Blown Sky-high.
Terrorist Saddam: "Mr, Rather, it is absolutely remarkable that you media girly-men
repeatedly betray your own country, even during war.
To get such betrayal, I previously had to gang rape a man's children and wife,
and then burn him in nitric acid or mutilate him by cutting off an ear or tongue.
But I got only a fraction of YOUR obedience, groveling and loyalty.
Thank you, Mr. Rather.
May Allah keep you well, helping us forever."
Bias exposed.
Rather gave a fluffy interview to Saddam and tore into Bush.
Rather and Kerry are on the same page.
Thank you for the LINK!
A friend of mine emailed this to me, so I thought i would share this with you all. I wonder how many of you caught this?
The Lord has a way of revealing those of us who
really know him, and those that don't! Think about it!
Kerry gave a big speech last week about how
his faith is so "important" to him. In this attempt
to convince the American people that we should consider him for president, he announced that his favorite Bible verse is John 16:3.
Of course the speech writer meant John 3:16, but
nobody in the Kerry camp was familiar enough with scripture to catch the error. And do you know what John 16:3 says?
John 16:3 says; "They will do such things because they have not known the Father or me."
The Spirit works in strange ways.
I heard a version of the story featuring Al Gore a few years ago, also.
Have not read of him before - anyone know anything about him? It doesn't take much imagination to see how a "writer" who hates Bush would have a computer and decide to help things along by "creating" some memos to pass on to his friend Rather.
Dan Blather, like Jimmy Karter, never met a dicktator who's a$$ he did not kiss. Must be that liberal background that allows them to fall to their knees so easily and lick those boots. Pretty sick if you ask me.
I would want to read anything written by someone with that name.
Micheal has poisoned the name forever. I knew someone with that last name years ago. they weren't nice people either.
In fact, they are in prison, LOL
wouldn't want
Did a fast google search - full name is James C. Moore - Jimmy boy appears to be popular on Salon.com and has done lots of articles in the anti-Bush and Rove mode. Under google there's even a James C Moore registered in TX as a child sex offender along with a picture!! I'm "sure" it's not this guy!!!!
