this is hysterical:
"Everything just goes so much faster" in the age of the Internet and cable news networks, says Charlotte Grimes, professor of political reporting at Syracuse University. "It's very hard for the media to find a firm place to stand and sort facts from reality."

USA TODAY obtained copies of the memos Wednesday night, shortly after the 60 Minutes broadcast, and reported that in Thursday's editions
Why doesn't the USA Today state WHERE they got their copies and why they have two additional memos that CBS doesn't display.

LOL. We laugh, but--- *I* know there's a difference between facts and reality, between the facts and the truth for that matter.
The thing is, from journalists I just want the facts, thank you. I don't purchase reality or truth at their establishment.

When the truth is found to be lies And all the joy within you dies
Don't you want somebody to love Don't you need somebody to love Wouldn't you love somebody to love You better find somebody to love
When the garden flowers baby are dead yes And your mind is full of red
Don't you want somebody to love Don't you need somebody to love Wouldn't you love somebody to love You better find somebody to love
Your eyes, I say your eyes may look like his But in your head baby I'm afraid you don't know where it is
Don't you want somebody to love Don't you need somebody to love Wouldn't you love somebody to love You better find somebody to love
Tears are running ah running down your breast And your friends baby they treat you like a guest
Don't you want somebody to love Don't you need somebody to love Wouldn't you love somebody to love You better find somebody to love

No matter how bad it gets, CBS will stand by its story. Rather claims that it was a preponderance of evidence which led to this story. In fact, however, not even their own witnesses say that the papers are authentic. At best they say that they might be authentic, but most other experts dispute even that conclusion. I don't see how that adds up to a preponderance. The overwhelming weight of evidence is that they are forgeries, yet Rather continues to lie, despite his statement that he'd report any evidence that casts his conclusions into doubt.

I know. Question is...what to do about it? Forging gov documents is against the law.
but, so is smuggling them out of the Nat'l Archives in your socks...
