We're having a hard time tracking deciding how we "got" the documents," says the CBS News producer.

"We're having a hard time tracking how we got the documents," says the CBS News producer.

Translation: We got the documents from a "reliable source," but we won't tell you who it was. As a matter of fact, we've forgotten who it was. As a matter of fact. . . .

Hope a fat girley man will do.

The campaign is over. Get out the fat lady, and start singing--

And we were singin'
Bye bye, anti-American guy,
Threw his medals, wore his petals, telling lie after lie,
And good ol' vets were too disgusted to cry,
Vowing, this campaign is going to die,
This campaign is going to die.

Harkin called Bush a "liar."

If there's a stench in the barn yard, its Harken!

Not unless they too are forged. If there were any real hand written notes, they would have been published long ago.

LOL. Yup, the fat lady is definitely singing when Al Gore steps out there. Now, we have to keep at it, so that it becomes the House and Senate landslide that we need to send the leftist Dim party into oblivion. Maybe then, there will be a movement in the Dim party to expel the commies and their symps, and become a true national party again.

McAwful has also been quoted as saying the DNC didn't
"leak" the docs to CBS.

Perhaps they just "gave" them to CBS.

Studied non-denial denials, honed by long study
under Clinton.

I believe that. The chain I have seen goes "Author -> DNC -> Kerry campaign -> CBS (& others) -> CBS to WH -> WH to reporters"

Tell your liberal friend to type two documents using Times New Roman with Kerning on and Kerning off and see if he can see the difference. I sure couldn't.

TrueType does something like cheap and dirty kerning by default. If you want to see real heavy-duty kerning, go into Word, set the font to Times New Roman, 36 point, and type the following word: AWAY. Then go to the Format/Font menu, check the kerning box, and retype the word. Kerning is most noticable in large fonts with capital letters.

CBS may have gone back to "the author," and not relied just on Kerry campaign to get the material. I have not heard the DNC say directly when it first saw the material.

I would think forging federal documents is a crime and any failure on their part to aid in its investigation is abetting a crime

You would think the Gubbermint would be on this Pronto like. Could it be possible that they can loose their broadcasting license over this?

I think Harkin is involved. The question is this did he have something to do with obtaining the documents or he is the Dem attack dog ordered to hammer the point home.

We should all file a complaint with the FCC and possibly the FEC as well...this will not stand...

I think Rather knew they were forged. In his arrogance (I'm Dan Rather you insignificant pajama wearing people), he didn't believe he would be caught- big miscalculation. This also shows how ignorant and contemptuous old media is of the new media. Kerry et al figured since MM wouldn't touch the Swifties, it would go away...these people are truly living in the 1970's-time warp mentality.

Kerry already has terrible numbers in the polls concerning trust...this will drive the numbers even lower. This is now in the MM... many people are going to know these memos are forged. They will assume with no definitive answers that Kerry is responsible. This also keeps Kerry off message. He can't even talk to reporters anymore. Think about this...all the free publicity he's missing. Americans will not elect someone president if they don't trust him.
