I started skimming after the first few lines. Seems to be yet another "Opposing views are being silenced" screed. Yeah, we hardly ever hear a word from Bush's opposition.

Rights are important but misidentifying what constitutes a right and believing a right is absolute is the surest way to destroy the whole concept of rights. The Bill of Rights specifically recognizes that government can have a legitimate interest in infringing individual privacy when there is probable cause for a search warrant. Achieving government recognition of private arrangement is not a right. Deciding if government should recognize a homosexual relationship as being the equivalent of marriage is appropriately left to the will of the people.
