He did ask her to remove the sticker and she pitched a fit. If she would have shut up and non-confrontationally returned to work the next day sans sticker, she still would have had a job. If you read the original article carefully, the boss gave her a CHOICE. She chose to leave and forfeit her job instead of removing the sticker from the property.

His request was inappropriate to begin with.

If she had erected a sign on his property yes, then he wuld be valid. She had a bumper sticker on her car. Did he have a consistent policy about bumber stickers?

I must wonder why you chose to give so much power and control to an employer over a persons behaviors that are not illegal.

What makes the business owner all so powerful to you?
