MOULTON Lynne Gobbell never imagined the cost of a John Kerry-John Edwards bumper sticker could run so high.
DAILY Photo by Clyde Stancil Lynne Gobbell said her boss fired her last week because of the Kerry-Edwards campaign sticker on the back of her car. Gobbell of Moulton didn't pay a cent for the sticker that she proudly displays on the rear windshield of her Chevrolet Lumina, but said it cost her job at a local factory after it angered her boss, Phil Gaddis.
Gaddis, a Decatur bankruptcy attorney, owns Enviromate, a cellulose insulation company in Moulton.
Gaddis did not return phone calls from THE DAILY about the alleged Thursday firing.
Gobbell said she consulted a lawyer, but then changed her mind about going to see him. She said she has cried about the incident and must do without income for three weeks while the state unemployment commission decides if she is eligible for compensation.

It's about Freedom. Some people gave their lives for Freedom. The one's that gave you the 1st Amend. and this Free Country didn't have your callous attitude.
You're a kook that can't comprehend English, otherwise you're a zot that can't read.
Troll alert!!!
Whoops. Missed him/her/it...
Can we have a "zot" anyway?
Employee stupidity is cause for termination.
As unoriginal as they get.
You from the south of N Europe too?
Hmmm. I always sort of assumed that anyone with a Kerry bumper sticker on their car didn't have a job in the first place!
Yeah, sure sweety, we gotcha. Your most basic Constitutional rights were violated and you got a killer lawsuit on your hands. But, you guess you'll just wait around for unemployment instead. WINK WINK NUDGE NUDGE.
A sock her mom.
Gobbell said she consulted a lawyer, but then changed her mind about going to see him.

This is the part that tells me there is more to the story than meets the eye. This should be a slam dunk if it were true. The fact that she did not return after an initial consultation tells me it was not hopeful given the REAL story as likely presented to said lawyer. That would really have to lean to it being her job performance or something if a lawyer nowadays wouldn't touch it.
You got that right.
Hmm, I bet she put that bumper sticker on her car after he handed out the flyer in the paycheck. Then she made sure he saw the bumper sticker and got nasty about it with him first. She strikes me as someone who has a bad attitude and runs off at the mouth (which was what caused him to fire her) or he's an egomaniac and doesn't allow freedom of speech or opinion.
