Let's assume the worst...that the 1978 campaign literature was incorrect. They find ONE flier with a misstatement...you don't even know if candidate Bush approved the flier...and even if he did and spotted the error...so what...it was so minor, why fix it.
What about Senator Kerry claiming to be the co-chairman of a subcommittee (a post actually held by Senator Bob Kerrey)? This was on Kerry's bio THIS year! Campaign lit is sometimes wrong...no big deal.
The Dems are desperate. The concerted focus on the President's TexANG service will make it hard for them to dodge the splashback when the CBS documents are conclusively shown to be forgeries. The Dems have done too much work that is coordinated and based on those documents...the public will KNOW that the Dems were behind the forgery and they will suffer.
Why would we do that?
As I pointed out upthread, this was gone over in 1999 and settled.
I certainly will not "assume the 'worst'".
This delays the discussion on any other really important issue. How much time will be left to expose Lurch's Parisian Perfidy?
