Man, the Dems want to keep bringinng this up... yet again? Have they done any polling on this issue - who the heck are they trying to appeal to on the Guard issue? I can't believe even the most ignorant out there is going to finally vote for Kerry if he "proves" something about guard service. Well bring it on Dems bit don't be surprised if the oh-so-more-important axis of evil steals the news cycles in the next week or so. Everyone's already seen National Guard Service I & II and I don't expect after forgeries they'll want to see the next installant in this action trilogy.

They just don't get it.

Even if supposing, just supposing that some of their allegation agaist the President were true, first of all, he DID get an honorable discharge, so nothing could have been really bad; and second of all, IT DOESN'T MATTER.

Why doesn't it really matter?

It's because people already watched Bush BE President for 4 years, and watched him perform under tremendous, critical circumstances, watched him successfully lead the War on Terror, getting rid of the Taliban and deposing Saddam. they don't have to try to guess, based on what he did or didn't do 35 years ago, whether he is capable and resolute enought to lead us during these critical times. The answer is a resounding YES. Bush has already proven himself many times over.

But Kerry has NO track record, except his Senate record, where he voted against defense systems, voted to cut intelligence, didn't think we should fight communism, because he didn't think we could win, and Kerry is running for president, based on his Vietnam record. Well, in that case, it's only fair to examine that and his subsequent actions of his attacks on his fellow soldiers, when he called them war criminals and met with the communist Vietnamese.

Dead horse is right. The poor thing is a smoldering pulp, and still they bring whips. I do hope one good thing comes as a result of this. ONCE and for ALL, congressional republicans see the enemy clearly. And learn from W. and Rove how to deal effectively with them.

This does not make sense. Are the Democrats that stupid? There are many issues that voters are concerned with. Bush's NG more than thirty years is not one of them. You would think that after Clinton's evasion of military service and the scandal about the forged documents, the Democrats would want to have everyone forget this issue.

Could it be that it is a diversion for some other skeleton in Kerry's closet? Or simply utter stupidity?

Typical crazy leftest desperation.

Like.. I keep seeing something over on DU about Laura Bush killing someone in a car accident years ago, but I haven't ever seen it anywhere else so i'm sure is BS.

Does anyone have more info on this??

On November 2, the bottom line and decision is to choose between these two approaches to the War on Terror:

Imagine the RNC countering claims of collusion with the SwiftVets by running ads attacking Kerry's Vietnam service. Insane, right? Well, that is exactly what the DNC is doing here.

It is such sheer luncy that it makes one realize that even McAuliffe is not this stupid. This is clear evidence of the DNC purposely torpedoing Kerry's campaign on behalf of Hillary Clinton.

If talking about stuff that happened 30+ years ago is a winning strategy in the middle of a war, I will sign a pledge never to talk politics again. These Democrats are nuts...
Just suppose that in the 1944 elections some Republican had run against FDR on the basis of meetings he might have missed in 1910 and whining about "Why are we fighting in Italy against Mussolini when Hitler is still in Berlin?" - that guy would have been put in a straight jacket.

Surely someone by now has got a hold of Kerry's (cough) mental, I mean medical records. I mean, once a crazy, always a crazy, right?

But seriously, does any of this really matter to the average voter? I just don't see where they are trying to go with this. It is all getting ridiculous, IMHO.

Wow dude. This unrelenting dnc demorap sheet is glorious. Day after day, week after week of 60s and 70s stuff. Tie dyes and dope and free beer. Dried Grapevine has it the the Kerry boys are about to come out with a plan for some small unnamed Ohio school with the National Guard. Maybe Bush did not show up for duty there either.

Hot poop at 10.

IN CASE THE DNC HAS FORGOTTEN, PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH WAS HONORABLY DISCHARGED FROM HIS MILITARY SERVICE.

Enough said.

We already know, and hopefully the American people will soon come to know, that Kerry is trying to win this election by default. The guy has nothing to run on, and so KERRY not Bush, is trying to take the discourse of this election from the real issues. Plus, Kerry is hoping the latest Swiftboat adds go unnoticed.

They're doing the same idiotic thing they did by endlessly trying to hype Kerry's (minimal) Nam service. I love the smell of desperation in the morning.

This is designed to make voters over saturated with Vietnam era jousting and TV advertising. This is designed to reduce any impact the Swift Boat Vets have which is the DNC real goal. Swifties have a large war chest now (7 million) and are ready to rock

This is another sign how scared sh*tless they are of the Swift Vets. Swift Vets bring Kerry and 'cRATS bad juju and start John Kerry's tailspin. They are spooked to death of the Swifties.

Let them rant and rave. This issue has been so beaten to death that people just don't care anymore. The only folks that more mud about Bush's time in the TXAFNG will affect or those folks who already plan to vote for Kerry and need some "goofy" form of justification to do so. If it wasn't the NG stuff, they would find another reason. Plain truth is that very few of the people voting for Kerry really want him...they just refuse to see the only logical/reasonable thing to do is vote for President Bush - a man who has proven himself as C&C - is he perfect - well of course not. However, I can't name anyone that could do a better job or for that matter anyone who could have done as good a job.

Bottom line, Kerry supporters aren't Kerry supporters, they have some idealogical or vested reason why the abhore Bush. They need some justification for their hate - no matter how flimsly.

Everyone else, Bush supporters, or the neutral - don't really see this as an issue. Except that Bush supporters like myself don't like for a MSM using forged documents to bolster questionable denigration.

This is good. Every day that goes by that Kerry is not on message is one less day he has to turn around the momemtum. This issue will not hurt Bush, it will just keep Kerry from getting any traction on setting forth a plan he can sell.
