My guess is that the guys 75% adverse to the publicity, 25% interested in havening a good natured chat with someone who really connects with him. He sounds like a nice ole good natured southern black gentleman whos seen a lot of all sides of human nature.

I'm just not buying it. He should be able to come clean with his Class number. As I said earlier, the AP and this gentleman are asking us to take his word for something that has not been vetted properly. It's not as if the AP is known for its truth-telling.
There were only 260 SEALs in Vietnam during the whole ten year conflict. What are the chances that this guy isn't known by someone -- either by his former name or the one he's using now.
At the risk of repeating myself, any SEAL knows why someone would ask for proof of his claims. They are not offended when you ask. As I stated earlier, AuthentiSeal gets over 200 claims a week about people claiming to be SEALs, why should his credentials not be questioned.
It's just a matter of time. I've forwarded the information from the pdf file to AuthentiSeal, which specifically states that if you've changed your name, how will your shipmates/teammates know who you are now?

On this good natured chat, did he happen to mention which SEAL Teams and platoons and years he served with in Viet Nam?
