Authentic or not, Bush memos no big deal to retired guardsmen
U.S. Servicemen React to Bush Guard Memos (spreading the lie)
Allegations of suspect conduct during the Vietnam war also have been leveled at John Kerry, who won three Purple Hearts, a Silver Star and a Bronze Star in Vietnam.
A group sponsoring television ads challenging his wartime record contends Kerry's own gunfire caused the wound that brought his first Purple Heart. Navy records and other veterans do not support the charge.
Ahmad Majied of Albany (GA) says the latest allegations about Bush's military record are more troubling to him than allegations about service honors leveled at Democratic challenger Kerry.
Majied, a Democrat from Albany who served 30 years in the Navy, including five years as a SEAL in Vietnam, said the memos support his belief that Bush was a "playboy" during his service years.
"He had enough money to get what he wanted," Majied said. "I think his main concern was not to go to Southeast Asia. I bet he never dreamed it would come back to haunt him."

NOT A SEAL
Thanks for checking with us - we greatly appreciate your interest in upholding the honor of the US Navy SEAL Teams, and your search for the TRUTH. If the name you provided was "spelled accurately", we do NOT have a listing for anyone named "Majied" in our entire database of slightly more than 10,000 names. Unless he has undertaken the unlikely action of a full legal name change since his claimed service with the SEAL Teams, I can state conclusively that the man NEVER completed SEAL training, and thus he is not now, nor was he ever a Navy SEAL. While there are other training steps that must be completed on the path to becoming a SEAL, BUD/S training is the first and most vital, and that training course is totally unclassified. Without having first completed BUD/S training, a man cannot go on to become a SEAL. There are definitely secret SEAL missions, but despite anything the man might have said, there are NO secret SEALs. If you choose to confront the man regarding his fraudulent SEAL claims, please show him this email message and invite him to contact me - a real SEAL - directly by email with information that will support his claims. I'd enjoy hearing his stories first hand, but I've extended this offer to literally thousands of individuals over the last three years, and in all that time I've received only a scant handful of replies, so I don't really expect to hear from him either.
Again, please visit our web page www.authentiseal.org/realitycheck.htm for some very specific information related to the realities of SEAL training, SEAL duties, and the claims most often made by SEAL imposters.
Thank you again for your assistance in upholding the honor of the US Navy SEAL Teams.
Respectfully, Gregory Platt

"The only service where all investigators are US Navy SEALs"
The Vietnam SEAL that I am referring to served four tours in Vietnam. BUD/S Class 24.
If you're claiming to be reluctant to prove that you're a SEAL it will only draw derisive laughs from the real SEALs. I've already asked and been answered enough to know that the ball is in AP's and this guy's court to prove that he's a SEAL.
See my post 359 to you.
The FReeper investigators come through again! Kudos to you for upholding the honor of the legitimate US Navy SEALS.
The case concerned construction of a music store (conservatory) in Albany in l999. The judgement was dated Oct. 30, 2002.
Name stated in lawsuit was Wiley Karriem Mustaqueem Graydon IV. (Makes Thurston Howell sound tame - huh???)
So... Can someone check and see if "Wiley Karriem Mustaqueem Graydon IV was a Navy Seal???
I know this has all been passed along to the right media folks, right? If not, I'll be glad to send out a wave of them. Just let me know. Again, splendid work!
Its not the rank designation that will ground this guy (see #305), its the Navy Seal credentials. Id guess a good PI could check out his name $100 dollars. Or a good Vietnam era Seal could coax it out of him. Ive done all that I can do. Its up to one of you.
Momto2 did the rundown on the other business associated with the phone number. Check it out.

Well, the pajama-clad denizens of THIS blogosphere don't HAVE to be fair to the AP. They want to come play in our jungle, they're going to have to play by OUR rules.
And one of those rules is that if you claim to be a SEAL or Special Forces or a Ranger, the pajama people can forward your name to the SEALs, the SF guys, or the Rangers to check out your bonafides. The real deal is VERY SERIOUS about shutting down lying little weenies in the real world, and the Associated Press had better get with the program.
Actually, perhaps the AP and the rest of the MSM dipsticks should get some sort of official notification of the hardline policies of the elite vet forces on this.
___________
And that was Kerry with his hat on.
Thanks for doing the work for me.
Well, I guess we know who forged the documents now, dont wel. heh.
Wiley Graydon or Graydon Wiley.
I bet that is what his name is.
You got it Spectator!
Ain't nobody gonna sh!t in our sandbox!
The rules of the SEAL veteran game are cut and dried. If you have a question about a SEAL claimant, you forward his name to these sites:
http://www.veriseal.org , http://www.authentiseal.org and http://www.navyseals.com
from the thread Army honors Dallas man who exposed fake records (STOLEN VALOR Author - Vietnam Vet "Jug" Burkett)
If you get a NO back from them (as did Travis McGee), the gloves are off. If the guy changed his name, it's HIS responsibility to get back with the real SEAL who sent the NO answer to the initial query.
.
I see.
Burden of proof is not on the Seals - burden of proof is on the claimant, and they better have bonafides or they will be tagged.
Why in the world would someone risk ticking these guys off? That's just crazy.
How is it these guys think they can just say anything to the press and believe everyone will just sit back and swallow it.
know the military first

The links for the war fakes story are not all that accurate. I am married to a US Army RAnger and he was very upset... The links for the war fakes story are not all that accurate. I am married to a US Army RAnger and he was very upset when I showed him the article. Firstly, not everyone who goes to Ranger school goes on to join the RAnger REgiment, of which there are only three battalions..two in Ga, one in Wash. Also, most Army rangers have not yet gone to RAnger school. PLenty of Rangers who were involved in both Enduring FReedom and Iraqi Freedom have not yet gone to Ranger school. Also, other airborne untis, such as the 101st are not part of the Ranger unit, which only operates under the special operations command. PLease think of this before you label someone as a fake. Rangers have died, and Rangers that you will not find in any of those RAnger school photos. also, there are plenty of sodliers who go to the school and do not go into Regiment. PLease, before anyone writes any stories about the military understand the units you are referring to. It is unfair to label someone a fake, without youreally knowing what they have done. Also..anyone within the special operations command, will not and can not, under military law, talk to you about operations. That would be a better way to judge if they are really Army Rangers, not just airborne. Thank you. (http://www.poynter.org/article_feedback/article_feedback_list.asp?user=&id=33053)
