Well, California is probably hopeless. The rest is very interesting.

"California is probably hopeless"

I was in Little Saigon yesterday and the Vietnamese-Americans are 100% behind W!

They remember, as do Viet Nam veterans, what Kerry did in 1971!

As you probably already know, almost 20 PERCENT of the registered voters in CA are Independents and those are the ones who turn elections.

We ejected the Dimwit Davis, so don't be surprise if the 'Rats stay home on November 2 and the Republicans and Independents don't turn out in masses to reelect W!!!

1.2 million Viets are about 3%-4% of the state's population and possibly a higher percentage of registered voters (would make sense-immigrants who play by the rules are more likely to register than the average apathetic native). 11 mil CA voters cast ballots in 2000.

I'm beginning to understand why CA may be in play.

My Gray-Davis-over-Bill-Simon brother voted for Arnold. Don't know, but he may be leaning to W, and he's a pretty strong (but usually sensible) lib.

The Dems in CA appear (admittedly from a distance) to be as disorganized as they have been in a long time.

If the large core of uninvolveds don't hear a good reason to vote FOR Kerry, they won't be convinced to vote against Bush (just as in 1992, but this time it works in our favor).

NoKo making progress on nukes doesn't exactly help Kerry either.

Well, California is probably hopeless.

Don't count CA out. If you hear politics spoken here in LALALand, it is pro-Bush and anti-Kerry. I hear people praise President Bush while no one is speaking up for Kerry.

Was that really necessary? There is much traffic lurking since FR made the news again this week. Why the need to feed those who think all righties are bigots? Geesh.

Whoever put Kerry's Vietnam service front and center at the Dem convention killed Kerry's campaign.

Did they not realize that there was still a lot of unresolved anger about Vietnam in the country?

Pride goes before the fall.

Oops-was referring to 1996, when Dole failed to have a good reason besides sleaze to oust Clinton, not 1992.

Yeah, you're RIGHT, maybe I'm from the MSM duping them. My wife says the same thing though and that it doesn't become me nor is it reflective of the way I am. I take individuals for what they are. Besides, there are more of them than there are the one of me.

At any rate, more than cbs will do, "I APOLOGIZE" and thank you for calling it to my attention and furnishing me with the opportunity. I was being facetious. Sometimes it is lost.

It's contrary to Jim's posting rules too.

Great find! Of all the people to ask about John Kerry, the Vietnamese-Americans are an excellent choice. I wonder how the Kerry campaign will respond to the Vietnamese-Americans? How will they impugn them as they have tried to impugn and slime the Swift Boat vets?

What is so amazing about all of this is that, when the war finally ended in the 70s, no one believed that we would be fighting it again more than 30 years later.

Well, I used those terms while over there, but it was towards the enemy. It's sort of like the terms used towards the Japanese in WW II. Those times are over.

Kerry has the blood of three million men, women and children on his head. THREE MILLION!!!

Kerry lied to Congress, the leftist Congress withdrew funds to South Vietnam, and three million died! That is Kerry's legacy to the world.

F*CK Kerry. The killing fields are filled with his victims.
