In terms of liberty, privacy and prosperity, the elimination of the income tax and the implementation of the FairTax is without a doubt the best possible thing we can do for ourselves, our children and our grandchildren.

I for one am grateful to Alan Keyes for helping keep this critical issue at the forefront for the last decade.

More and more Americans are waking up to what needs to be done, thanks in part to his leadership.

Is the Fair Tax the national sales tax or the flat income tax? If the former, if implemented blacks would pay more taxes, and the reparations plan is a dead letter, and more. If the latter, it is about tax neutral to blacks, assuming lower income offsets remain in place. In any event, is the Keyes plan to have reparatrions in place until such time as he can effect their repeal through a tax system that raises taxes on blacks overall, or restores them. In any event, it is a rather delicate balancing act. Indeed, I find it near incoherent, but that is just my point of view.

I am still not clear if Keyes' reparation plan is just limited to slave descendents or is race directed, but fiscally, it doesn't make much practical difference, and of course so many of us will claim to fit into either category somehow, and administratively, it will be a nightmare to implement.
