Seeing Rath in this position has made this a stellar month. Not only am I old enough to remember the IBM Selectric, but am old enough to remember the rage and frustration of the control the three-way Network had over the politicl process.
What Rathe did is every bit as bad as what he sniffily and self-righteously accused Nixon of doing.
Perhaps worse.
I second that, mamzelle. Somewhere Nixon is having a nice posthumous chuckle. It took 30 years, but Rather finally stepped in it big time. The Lord works in mysterious ways. I can hardly remember a story I have enjoyed as much as this one. Whether Rather is able to hold on or not, he has been exposed, and even CBS knows it.
Hey, I am too and although it was a vast improvement to work with, I do remember one had to be a really really good typist to do inserts and corrections.
I remember one of my co-workers complaining that his secretary had so much white-out on the paper it stood up a half an inch.
Agree with you though, last century's media is on it's last old gas bag of oxygen and are quickly racing towards their extinction for which we can truly rejoice.
