You never heard about "What's the frequency, Kenneth?"

So, WHEN are they going to DEMAND the name of the person where these forgeries originated?

THIS can NOT go by unpunished.

I was just talking about one element. Obviously the document is faked, but they did use a legitimate address.

There are now a little over 70 things wrong with the four documents.

About half are technical errors in the document, procedural errors in writing and handling the documents, factual errors (Bush's address is wrong, Unit ID's are wrong, etc.), time line errors, internal inconsistencies between the documents, and errors or corrections or denials or retractions by witnesses and people who "verified" the documents.

About half are related to the documents' fonts and formatting and the physical features of the documents.

If my memory serves me correctly a P.O. Box had 4 number max, not 5 or 6. If it is copied from a ligit P.O. Box then it is a current one.

Can someone that worked for the Postal Service confirm or refute this?

Retired USPS. Yes, I can refute that. To PO box is legit.

He's probably written a memo or two in his days as the head of the Texas NG.

They copied the address from a legitimate record form Bush's file. There are a ton of reasons that show the memo is fake, the address is not one of them.

Rather was assaulted and beaten in a subway by some guy who kept shouting "What's the frequency, Kenneth?" It's also the name of an old REM song.

Just wondering, forging military docs is a serious felony. Do the forged docs, written to a personal file, constitute actual military docs? And, what if the Inspector General of the Air National Guard opened an investigation into the CBS docs and started laying some subpeonas on their butts.

The number of digits in a PO box depends on how many boxes the unit has, and whether it's at a main office or a station out of a main office. Legitimate box numbers can be large - if a station has 1000 boxes, and the main office has 10 or more stations, you'd get 2 digits representing the station and 4 representing the actual box - that would be a 6-digit box number. Also, non-postal box sections (mailboxes etc, for example) have the first several digits representing their firm box, which can be 3 or four digits.

another thing, they seem to be doing over and over today, is linking the Forged Memos story to the "new" poll that says President Bush is 6 ahead of Kerry ( as if thats bad, but they are saying "slipped in the polls") each time they run the story....to try and hint the memos have hurt President Bush...

At least you are willing to look at your suspicions in a reasonable manner. Unlike some people, you have integrity, something Dan is rather lacking in. ;)
