When my father was a young child he had an eye condition that was causing him to go blind and with no medical remedy possible his mother took him to St. Anns church in Fall River to pray and he was cured days later.

Let the gays try to go after St. Ann. They have no idea who their dealing with.

Thank you for sharing that beautiful story ... yes, miracles do occur and St. Anne is a powerful advocate for those who have faith. She is also the patron saint of my Maronite Catholic Church. :-)

There may even be a few freepers with libertarian/atheistic leanings who cringe at the thought of divine intervention in the affairs of man. I, for one, am very familiar with Saint Anne's church in Fall River. People from around the world continue to visit this church as they and their families have for many decades. It is obvious that the church, located directly across the street from the hospital, sends a powerful message of God's all-encompassing providence.

Fall River people (many, not all - but MANY is itself a miracle!) are, in fact, far more culturally conservative yet more genuinely intelligent and compassionate [and they prove it with their donations of money and physical labor for charitable causes] than the "liberated" and "enlightened" and "sophisticated" but snide and rude and UNNATURAL socialists of the Boston-Cambridge area who look down their noses at the lowly "low-life" Fall River/New Bedford area.

P.S. I can cook better than Emeril Lagasse. ;-)
