By the way, is anyone watching the reruns of "Band of Brothers" on the History Channel? Nice to reflect on the contributions of heroes from other wars.
I watched it when it made its first round of The History Channel, then bought the DVD set and watched it again. I then bought and read Stephen Ambrose's book "Band of Brothers." I just finished a four-book series by Donald Burgett, a member of the Scream Eagles during WWII. I thoroughly enjoyed them. These books are sitting on my nightstand waiting to be read: "The Longest Day" (saw the movie when it was first rleased) and "A Bridge Too Far" by Cornelius Ryan, "D-Day" by Ambrose, and "Tug of War" by Denis Whitaker (about the Canadian troops in Holland).
