My uncle, a WW 2 Navy submarine vet, is still around also.

Well, thats good. Submarines had to be interesting work.

My Uncle was in combat from Oct.1942 (Africa) till May of 1945 (Germany). In that time he got 2 purple hearts, 2 bronze stars, and a silver star and he went AWOL to join his platoon back at the front after being wounded a second time. To quote a line from "Black Hawk Down "Its all about the man next to you". Everything about John Kerry and Vietnam makes me feel ill at ease.

It was good to see a WW2 vet like Bob Dole step in a defend the Swift Boaters and dress down John Kerry like he did a couple of weeks ago. He slammed Kerry on the Lefts 527's were doing all Kerry's dirty work for him.

Here's raising a glass in honor of your brave uncle and his honorable service. Such a contrast, to compare this fighting man's record to JF Kerry and his pukin' diary of heroics which occurred only in his mind.
