I can't take my computer to the bathroom, I can do my word puzzles in the newspaper, I like to read the Letters to the Editor, I get a perverse joy when I throw away the sports section without reading it, I like to see what property locally has changed hands, I have 6 more years before I'm 70.

Heh! I guess I just got in under the wire. I turned 70 last week, and I haven't gotten my news from the old media for the last eight years.

Also, I cancelled my subscriptions to every periodical that bashed President Bush. Why finance the enemy?

I am sick of the media/libs and their insanity.

They shun truth as a vampire shuns the light and project all of their vile tactics onto good and decent people.

Hey you, your remark about people in their 70's being the only ones who get their news from the T-V station's is
just not true. I happen to be in that class, and I have been a supporter of Free Republic since the Rally in Washington D. C. to impeach Clinton. I do not watch, support, or listen to any of the National News Stations.

Just because we can remember the Debates between Wilkey and FDR does not mean we are all wrapped up in our blanket, sitting in front of the T-V. I still work 40 hours a week, and in my spare time I enjoy Freepers. Pick on some other group.

I am an 82 yr old WW2 vet and get my "real" info and "facts" from Free Republic---I gave up on the media many years ago but continued to watch and read so I would know "what my enemies were up to"---even some of us computer illiterates are smart enough to know the truths when we see them---all I need to know is how to get on the 'net' and pull up my 'favorites' list---thanks for everything and everybody who works so hard to protect our Nation---God Bless America and God Bless our troops-
