What you wrote isn't a rant. It's just telling the truth that the mainstream media is now facing SERIOUS competition in terms of spreading the news.

You may want to find a copy of Alvin Toffler's famous book The Third Wave, which prophesized that with improvements in communications technology the hammerlock on the control of information dissemination by the mainstream press will come to an end; Toffler describes the process as de-massifying the media. When Buckhead wrote that post on Wednesday night right as CBS finished their report on 60 Minutes II it triggered off an online investigation that essentially debunked CBS' claims in twelve hours! This is the power of New Media at its very finest.
