Muslims must look inward and put a stop to many of our religious leaders who spend most of their sermons teaching hatred, intolerance and violent jihad. We should not be afraid to admit that as Muslims we have a problem with violent extremism. We should not be afraid to admit that so many of our religious leaders belong behind bars and not behind a pulpit.

Their list of things to be sorry for is far far shorter than it should be.

There are literally hundreds, if not thousands of attacks against Israel. There have been many attacks in Asia. I could go on for hours.

I do find it rather concerning that this group points to Hezballah and the need for a Palestinian solution. Palestinian solutions and the call for U.S. engagement is sadly generally translated accurately as a call for the U.S. to force an unjustifiable peace and unconcionable capitulations on Israel.

The Palestinians will have peace when they desire peace more than unspeackable violence. Not Israel, not the U.S., and not this supposed moderate group will force it on them.

Hell will freeze over before I give this group the sweat off my privates, let alone one red cent.

I have to tell you all that I have muslim friends (Bosnians) who are so ashamed at the events that have transpired. They really do hang their heads literally when we talk of the events of 9-11. But, these are European muslims, who would be called lapsed if Catholic as they drink and socialize/date non-muslims. As I tell them..we are all embarrased by arab behavior. But I can tell you that they are respectable people and only the murderers deserve our disdain. There are good muslims...they just aren't arabs.

Rusty Humphies read this on his radio show yesterday. All I could think of as he read it was how can we trust them? How do we know this guys telling the truth? The answer is we don't. I'm unbelievably shocked at some of the responses on this thread. For three years people on this site have expressed time and time again their revulsion that no Muslim groups have ever come forward to repudiate the actions of the extremists. Now that one has, all some of you can say is "too little too late" and make veiled references to killing them.

The Free Muslim Coalition against Terrorism was one of the first groups to step forward and assist us with our efforts on todays National March Against Terror. You have no idea the danger this group has put themselves in by publically coming out against the murderers and religious fanatics who maim innocent children and call for fatwa at the mere suggestion of rebellion in their ranks.

While you sit comfortably behind your keyboards, throwing out all manner of unthinking bile, real people are out in the real world trying to make a difference and put themselves in real danger doing so.
