You know what would really be cool? To post a thread with all the banned accounts and why they were banned.
Some guy from Texas said those old flame wars were really cool.
Heck, I'd buy one. Kind of like reading a National Enquirer.
What are you you holding in your left hand?
Is that attached to John Kerry's b--ls???
Bump for later.
Laz has already mauled most of them by the time the mods warn them, so they quit bothering with that.
Any chance of reading the comment you removed from my thread on Disenfranchisement? It was comment #7, and I was just curious. I love this board. It's not as exciting as real-time chat rooms, but I don't miss the ad hominim attacks from the liberals once you've disproven their arguments. In the early 90's, AOL newsroom chats were "THE THING". I always marvelled at the ability to argue real-time with people across the country.
You have a great forum. Thanks very much.
Where do we find the picture of a bunny with a pancake on it's head?
Just wondering................
BTTT!!
REgarding the 'horror' of duplicate threads:
What is more important? The information in the article or the often inane, sometimes wise, comments by Freepers? Every day, the most important news from sources like the NYT gets posted in the wee hours of the morning. Because of the 'no duplicates' rule, these important pieces get buried under hundreds of vanities and other less important stories.
Actually I can make an argument for both--but neither would rest on the basis that a post buried in the pile is somehow superior to an ongoing stream of information.
If the moderators want to put an additional link to the previous thread for those who find they need to read every post, I think that would be marvelous. But why this is necessary is beyond me.
I once suggested to a prominent unnamed poster that his wee hour postings were getting lost in the pile--and we needed some way on FR to keep them current and at the front of the line. He reacted as though I'd tried to attack his child. To some, to be there firstest with the mostest is the most important part of posting--a badge of honor.
We need REFORM now! :-)
As always, I have the WORD that was given to me on stone tablets from on high. I'm willing to share it with the moderators.
