But two separate incidents did show up on richter scale models

I'm trying to follow up and get some of that data. There is strong probablity of ONE incident/blast being recorded. There has been less support for the second event / seismic record. I can't give full credability to some of the Korean media sources reporting until I can get some independent verification. However, if it was in support of a dam construction, that had to be one mondo explosion(s).

I've finally found seismic data for Sep 8 & 9 for the area. Initial analysis of data from two stations (one in S. Korea and one in China) suggests two potential events small enough not to be plotted as an earthquake (<3.0 mag). The first occured 8 Sep 04 at about 23:45 local, the second event occured 10 Sep 04 at about 02:00 local. Since the second event is outside of the window, the first event will be evaluated more closely. Unfortunately, data quality available via internet is less than desirable and these times will need to be cross cheched against the reported times. More to follow.
