Which does not preclude the distinct possibility that an al Qaeda operative paid $500k per kilogram for something that was billed as being that deadly ... some of them have been shown to be rather credulous about such things: it's fairly well documented that some of their operatives were using articles from the Journal of Irreproduceable Results as if they were serious scientific papers.
For those not in the know, the Journal was published for a number of years as a parody of a real scientific journal ... some really hilarious "research" was reported, in all apparent seriousness but with tongue firmly planted in cheek.

Although Hamas has suffered numerous setbacks over the past several months - including the deaths of group kingpins Ahmed Yassin and Abdel Aziz Rantisi - it continues to expand its operations on a global scale. And, contrary to the longtime press canard that Hamas "only" seeks the destruction of Israel, and bears no ill will toward America, America is anything but safe from the group's wrath.
