The Threat Matrix

The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

Muslim group takes responsibility for 9-11: 'We are so sorry'

This September 11 marks the third unforgettable anniversary of the worst mass murder in American history.

After September 11, many in the Muslim world chose denial and hallucination rather than face up to the sad fact that Muslims perpetrated the 9-11 terrorist acts and that we have an enormous problem with extremism and support for terrorism. Many Muslims, including religious leaders, and "intellectuals" blamed 9-11 on a Jewish conspiracy and went as far as fabricating a tale that 4000 Jews did not show up for work in the World Trade Center on 9-11. Yet others blamed 9-11 on an American right wing conspiracy or the U.S. Government which allegedly wanted an excuse to invade Iraq and "steal" Iraqi oil.

You're very welcome, Donna. IH has been at this for quite some time and are a great source for this raw material.

From your article:

>>In his press release, Leatherwood writes: "This war in Iraq might have been over 10 months ago if those trying to bring freedom to Iraq had not had to overcome the efforts of the media as well as the terrorists. As it is, the media has encouraged the insurgents and has undermined the Coalition at every turn .... Here lies a tragedy the world does not know."<<

Amen!

"I don't believe that that's the intention behind this," said Sam. "March 11 '04 was the Madrid bombings and . . . 11/3 is the European way of writing [the date]."

Sam has a point there.

During the debate last night did anyone else pick up on this quote from our Vice President?

"The biggest threat we faced today is the possibility of terrorists smuggling a nuclear weapon or a biological agent into one of our own cities and threatening the lives of hundreds of thousands of Americans. "

I counted the "Nuke a US city" topic twice last night while watching the debate. Looking at the transcript this morning I see he mentioned it a total of three times. Here are the other two lines from Cheney.

I'm absolutely convinced that the threat we face now, the idea of a terrorist in the middle of one of our cities with a nuclear weapon, is very real and that we have to use extraordinary measures to deal with it.

Now we find ourselves in the midst of a conflict unlike any we've ever known, faced with the possibility that terrorists could smuggle a deadly biological agent or a nuclear weapon into the middle of one of our own cities.

Yes...I caught that as well. It seems to follow along with what TM has been saying for a while.

It is very possible that IH began it all; do you think so?

Many posters there went on to do it elsewhere, some also still post there, etc. When I say "began it all," I mean the specific "civilian" hunting techniques of online creation of identities, the scouring of arabic forums and the use of translation and steg software. I am not talking about the expert work of Steve Emerson and others like him or any official government intel work where such tactics are also used.

I wonder if the work of Rita Katz and the Galts and others who are more out in the public now predates IH or not.

7Seas basically got its start at IH since some members hailed from IH. Also, some IHers have worked at the site we cannot mention. In addition, Jill St. Claire knows IH very well.

I know we have some very savvy current TM posters who also post at IH; you all know who you are!

All in all, cheers for IH's alneda forum! It has a great history. Credit where credit is due!

Officials Investigating Strange Odor In Northern Indiana City

POSTED: 6:40 pm EST October 5, 2004

ANGOLA, Ind. -- Something stinks in Angola.

City officials are trying to determine what is causing the strange, mildewy odor hanging in the air over the city of 7,700. Mayor Dick Hickman told the Angola Common Council on Monday that he had taken some calls on the stench, and had smelled it himself.

"We've been trying to track it down," he told the Herald-Republican newspaper. "We've talked to the factories, but we can't seem to pinpoint where it might be coming from."

Hickman said the first calls he took about the smelly air were from people on the north end of Angola, which is about 25 miles north of Fort Wayne, but now he's heard from people as far away as four miles west of the city smelling it.

"All we can do is keep looking into it and keep smelling," Hickman said.

Oops. Scratch some of what I wrote previously about IH. It seems some hunters started doing things on their own outside of a "forum" persay before 911. I didn't know that.
