NEW YORK -- Yesterday, Goliath CBS News was delivered a smooth stone to the forehead by a FReeper.
A poster in the FreeRepublic.com conservative news forum mentioned something peculiar about two documents CBSs 60 Minutes claimed on September 8 were generated by now deceased Lieutenant Colonel Jerry B. Killian regarding an allegedly National Guard-evading George W. Bush in 1973.
Within minutes following the broadcast, FReeper "TankerKC" wrote this to FReeper "Howlin'":
WE NEED TO SEE THOSE MEMOS AGAIN!
{snip]
Since then, news of the potential forgery glitch spread like wildfire from blog to blog and into the mainstream press - especially that of CBS competitors ABC and NBC.

Oh you are just all too happy to blame the Bush team for this CBS debacle. You can't fathom that in fact the lame stream media is soooo very anxious to get Kerry elected that they wouldn't do "due diligence"...Look the stupid liberals in this country as so far gone they don't even realize that others don't agree with them. They didn't want to vet this stuff...It was known in the Kerry camp and "leaked" to CBS...You may actually believe that there are all sorts of nefarious subplotters out there trying to set up the rats....fact of the matter is they are so dumb that no one needs to. They do a fine job all on their own
Don't forget the pajamas part :0)
I don't know. But, if so, I'm guessing someone in the White House probably uses MS Word (with the default settings set). LOL
One thing is clear. Every one of the old media cartel will have to think twice about using dubious documentation from this point forward. I think the real value is that they now know they have a watchdog out here and we are hungry.
I wonder how he knew?
See what ya started here? Ya old "Right Wing Nut" !
Nam Vet
Now that's funny....always good to have talking help animation huh...geez no wonder CBS and Dan Blather couldn't figure it out they rely on this type of stuff for information
Are yall going to be on TV?
Its FReepin' good fun, Jim!
You're right...it has to be George Bush.
As George Foreman once said; "I knew death was near, I could smell it" :-)
>>Oh you are just all too happy to blame the Bush team for this CBS debacle.<<
Blame? I'm thrilled! They knew the rats would play dirty and they turned it against them. Very impressive, and there's not a darned thing the rats can do about it!
>You can't fathom that in fact the lame stream media is soooo very anxious to get Kerry elected that they wouldn't do "due diligence"...<<
That's where you're wrong. The Old Media's hatred of Bush is so irrational that their behavior was predictable.
It'll take a while to sink in for most folks, but the world of information has changed.......forever.
The old media is not fast enuff......and too agenda driven.......to maintain a semblance of credibility. Their ONLY hope is to eat their own. Rather and CBS must be sacraficed, for their entire industry is at risk.
You think? Look at the views on this thread alone:

Man, I bet those original VRWC Secret Decoder Rings are bringing in a pretty penny these days on E-Bay. Especially those with the built-in brain wave ray detectors and automatically deploying tinfoil-hat protection device.

That's what I'm saying. Rather and the DNC have been duped!
Gotta love it.
It's all Bush's fault.
LOL. Not meee.

It's even funnier if the rats WERE set up. Suckers!
it was in the memo?
