All Bush has to do is show them the 'honorable discharge' papers and he get $50k. Man, this is getting easy.

They are beginning to feel protective of their President.

Exactly what I was trying to say.

The "irrefutable proof" standard makes the offer illusory. Who gets to decide? Them of course.

Geez if you can't convince CBS that they are in possession of obvious forgeries, you will never be able to show these idiots "irrefutable proof" that Bush is the President, much less that he completed his service.

Have they officially offered the 50 grand, or is this a Michael Moore publicity trick? Moore told reporters that he was considering offering a cash reward (I don't remember the amount) to anyone who could find a lie in Fahrenheit 9/11. Of course, he never actually put up the money, he only said he was considering doing it. By doing it that way, his idiot followers believed he was facing down his critics (Moore's followers are too stupid to notice the difference between considering something and actually doing it) while not actually putting himself at any financial risk.

I would think that if these bozos really put up the cash they'll lose it for sure. Bush's honorable discharge is prima facie legal documentation of his completed service. Either they're bluffing and only talking about putting up the money, without actually doing so, or they're demanding some impossible level of proof, such as daily videotapes of Bush's service, with accompanying contemporary audio commentary from his commanding officers.

Seems like his possession of an honorable discharge is irrefutable proof that he completed his service obligation.

It cannot be refuted that he finished his service obligation.

Maybe we could deal for a randomly selected jury to vote on who wins.

SaveTexasReps.com is a production of Texas Counts, a clearinghouse for information and ideas about the redistricting process.

SaveTexasReps.com is spearheaded by a group of Texas citizens who believe that redistricting should be fair, open, and free from ultra-partisan power grabs that attempt to dilute the legitimacy of the ballot box.

Nathan Wilcox, president of Texas Counts, is an internet communications consultant who has been active in online advocacy for most of the past decade. He is joined by an board of advisors and contributors and a growing membership of Texans who are concerned with current efforts to undermine this basic underpinning of the democratic process.

I live in Forest Hill, TX., and we have to put up with these half-baked liberal pus bags. They are everywhere. Good news though, I've had my flu shot and my liberal pus vaccination so I'm immune. Most folks here support GWB. He was a super governor and a GREAT! prez. 4moyrs!!

Nathan Wilcox | Founder and Principal, Mercury Campaigns

Nathan Wilcox is an award-winning online campaigner. Since 1997, he has managed over 60 online advocacy and electoral campaigns at the national, state, and local levels. As the first Director of Online Communications for Public Strategies Inc., Wilcox helped build what was at the time the nation's largest online public affairs practice.

In 2002, he was Online Strategist for the Tony Sanchez for Texas Governor Campaign. His work on that campaign was featured on CNN Headline News, the New York Times, and Slate.com called it the best online campaign of 2002.

In 2003, he launched www.SaveTexasReps.com, a clearinghouse for those opposed to congressional redistricting, which built a membership of over 15,000 supporters. Wilcox was also active in the Howard Dean campaign, leading the development of a 15 site network of interconnected web sites centered at www.DeanforTexas.com.

In 2004 he has driven online communications strategies for one US Senate race, three US Congressional races, four state legislative races, the Texas Democratic Party and a number of private sector clients.

Rather must have responded to the previous reward for anyone who could provide proof that he didn't meet his obligations. I would have thought $50,000 would be pocket change to a guy like Dan.

DriveDemocracy.org, the MoveOn.org-affiliated activist Web site focused on progressive Texas politics, has launched the Drive Democracy blog. DD Director Glenn Smith, former Texas Observer publisher Geoff Rips, online activist Nathan Wilcox, and "guest bloggers" will be blogging away for your reading pleasure at

www.drivedemocracy.org/blog. One guest blogger this week is state Rep. Elliott Naishtat, who had these choice words inspired by the Democratic convention: "When President Clinton stated that strength and wisdom are not mutually exclusive, I was reminded of the many times I had to deal with Bush when he was Governor of Texas and I was the chair of the House Human Services Committee. Invariably, I had to remind myself that the man has no intellectual curiosity and is basically clueless and oblivious when it comes to most matters, especially those wherein he has not been extensively tutored by Karl Rove or Karen Hughes or Dick Cheney or Don Rumsfeld." – Lee Nichols

I guess there should be a line seeing how he was honorably discharged. They have it backwards. I'll bet if they offered the same reward for someone who could prove he DID NOT complete his service obligations they would have no takers.
