I have been praying daily for a miracle to spare FL a direct hit by Ivan and for all those suffering the effects of Charley & Frances.

In addition a moment of prayer should be directed towards survivors and those who lost loved ones on 9/11. Many are still struggling emotionally from the loss and if they survived injuries from it.

Let's have a week of prayer, announces floriduh voter. No one really knows what Ivan's going to do and so far, Floridians are staying calm. Prayer does have a calming effect and that's going to be essential during this time of vigilance and apprehension.
Stay safe.
THINK ABOUT LOST PETS OR STRAYS WHILE WE'RE AT IT: If anyone sees a stray animal that appears lost and isn't dangerous, PLEASE TAKE IT TO YOUR LOCAL ANIMAL SHELTER before Ivan hits. They may be able to find the owner or adopt it out. The animal is assigned a SERIAL NUMBER and that way, the owner can call in and give the neighborhood they lost their pet in.

Jeb's been doing a great job through this nightmare. As for prayer, we've been doing nothing buy pray -- while cleaning up the mess and working 12-hour days to catch up on lost work.
May God protect Florida, our Governor and our President.

My brother traveled this week to Fla. from Long Island to help out with his in-laws condo which had a portion of the roof blown off. He said it was a mess. When he finally got the roof temporarily patched he then helped the immediate neighbor. He said it was miserable with rain. He said he saw many people there just looking to the skies as if for help from the almighty and crying. No wood to make repairs etc. He then started helping people he didn't even know until he was too tired and pressed for time. Please pray for the affected in Florida.

Ever since I heard that Ivan was on his way....I've been praying that he'll head further west and our coast will be spared another direct hit.
