Same thing happened with the fake 'abuse' photos of British soldiers. The editor of the
Daily Mirror was sacked more because of the defence which he provided that for printing fakes in the first place; he seems to have crawled back under his rock (no doubt only for a short while), and the paper's circulation is still well-down.
