That Dan Rather thought he could get away with this suggests, to me anyway, that he's been getting away with similar lies for years, and having gotten away with it, has become more and more brazen and careless.

And nothing will come of this. I will be surprised if anybody is fired, or anyone gets in trouble .

Of course. As I said earlier today, the only thing that makes this a story is the fact that CBS publicized the fact that they had NEW DOCUMENTS, and those documents are obviously forged.

Rather, CBS, and most of the other presstitutes lie on a daily basis. Every day they take whatever talking points the DNC fax them and just spew them out. This time they went too far. Forgery isn't something you can just brush off. And the forgery is completely and totally obvious.

That's the mistake almost every successful con man eventually makes, he comes to believe he is so good at his trade that no one can catch him at it. That's when he gets careless and slips up. Blather slipped up big time with this debacle, and it couldn't have happened to a more deserving fellow.

So long Danny old boy, don't let the fact that your career ended in utter disgrace get you down. Just remember all those other times when you lied and got away with it.

That's an excellent point....and I think that is probably very true.

He just got busted on this one. I'll be honest, I never would have questioned it. I only watched about 10 minutes of the 60 minutes piece. I did see the documents flashed very quickly. I would have never thought another thing about it. If it weren't for sites like this, I would never know about it.

Doesn't it just make you madder than Zell?

It does me.
