The network said that a CBS reporter read the documents to Hodges over the phone, (telling him they were hand-written) and that Hodges replied that "these are the things that Killian had expressed to me at the time."
Hodges said his response was "well if he wrote them that's what he felt."
Interesting way to interpret Mr. Hodges' statments. (Interpret=Rewrite)

Hodges probably knew Killian well enough to know that Killian wouldn't have typed personal notes into in his own personal file.
Even if the CBS producer didn't distinguish whether the memos were handwritten or typewritten, Hodges would no doubt have assumed they had to be handwritten if Killian really did create them by himself for his own personal use. If the producer had described them as typewritten, Hodges would have said, as the son and widow have said, that he would have difficulty in believing them to be authentic from Killian.

Well, that would depend upon what the definition of interpret is. Perhaps he thinks interpret=poetic license

Hodges said his response was "well if he wrote them that's what he felt." Is there a link to this transcript anywhere? I would imagine this clarifiction of what CBS' key corroborating eyewitness said, and bumping that to the top, would be a big nail in CBS' coffin.
