From NRO, the Corner:

Just talked to a Bush strategist, who said: “Within seven days, this will be a 3-point race. There was no reason for the near-panic among Republicans eight weeks ago or so, and there is no reason for the euphoria now. No one is going to build a substanital lead in this race. It's going to be very close until the end.”

Look, I pretty much agree that Bush is in the driver's seat. But this mindset can lead to complacency. I'm campaigning like Bush is 10 points down. I want a blowout and a mandate. I want to see the lefties in the media lose it. I want long Bush coat tails for House and Senate seats. Let's keep marching on to victory!

The harder the MSM pushes for Kerry, the worse he does.

Bush will be up by ANOTHER 3-5 points in the major polls next week and the dims/MSM will be in full coniption.

Anyone besides me notice the ABSOLUTE SILENCE from most of the dim House Reps, and ALL of the dim Senators since the GOP convention? Even before?

Sure, Pelosi and Rangle are out there trying to put up a strong face.........but where's Patty Murray? Barbara Boxer? Daschele? Schumer? Clinton? Byrd?
