This is the reason behind the attack on President Bush's service by 60 Minutes. Rather was supposed to provide Kerry cover to be a better man than Bush to the National Guard Kerry maligns with his snipes at the President's service.

Too bad for Kerry that forged documents and Rather's lying cannot help him - ever. He is on the record as a spokesman for VVAW and his Senate Record proves he is an Antiwar Pacifist and nothing can change that.

He's got a lot of nerve to go before these folks, when his surrogates are out there saying things like Bush "betrayed his country" by serving in the Guard.

Honestly, we thought Al Gore was a bit wacky, maybe even neurotic, but Kerry is really, really starting to appear delusional. I think he thinks he really is some big war (and anti-war) hero. How much pot did HE smoke back in the day? Some say the effects are permanent.
