So is this where Blather (et al) wants it all to end up? The documents will never be proven to be either genuine or forgeries, they'll just add more fuel to the bogus AWOL claims? I don't think folks are going to stand for, 'Uh, sorry all we got are these mimeographed copies, but you can trust us, we'll vouch for their authenticity.'

I think that you've nailed it. Any claim to "objectivity" that CBS and 60 minutes ever may have had in the past has been pretty much blasted to smithereens by this farce.

I am surprised the the Defense Investigative Service isn't asking Rather some hard questions right about now. Forging official government documents is a felony under US statutes on counterfeit and forgery. Forgery isn't just producing the document. It is also unlawful to pass it off as legitimate knowing that it isn't.

This is exactly what I've been wondering too. It is a federal crime to forge a government document of any kind right? At some point a federal agency must investigate. Whomever did this forgery didn't think of that. Beavis and Butthead did this, like it was just any old letter from an employer or position of authority. Like a letter from the principal or the teacher, these guys are definitely juvenile, in mind, at least. Unimpeachable sources my a**.

He said pilots were scheduled for physicals based on the month of their birthday. They would be notified on the last day of the month of their birthday, which in Bush's case would be July 31st.

There is a Sep 29 document which states that Bush was informed his flight status had been suspended on Aug 1. This would be in keeping with a due-date in July.

Yes, that's absolutely right. It was the standard proportional font without serifs.

I never liked the Geneva font much :-). I've always thought that serifs make a font much easier to read (as long as it's well-designed in the first place).
