I have a feeling that there is a very quiet investigation going on inside the DOD and possibly the FBI over these documents. There are several laws against forging government documents.
You're right, This memo was a hoax, and the end result is that Rather is the butt of the joke.
I can't believe anyone actually sits and watches 60 Minutes for 60 minutes, that's a depressing thought.
