Kerry’s Iraq Position Shifts Like ‘Windsurfing Off Nantucket Island’

Something to Yak About – Kerry’s Iraq Position Shifts Like ‘Windsurfing Off Nantucket Island’
Saying that John Kerry has treated the issue of the war to oust Saddam Hussein, “like a local sewer project,” the Gentleman from Massachusetts was pummeled in an Oregonian opinion piece penned by Kerry on Iraq documentary viewer and associate editor David Reinhard. “Maybe this is all agonizing nuance and complexity. Or maybe it's all just politics. Whatever the case, it's hardly the clear, consistent and principled presidential leadership we need in wartime,” observes Reinhard.

Kerry’s Iraq Plans Questioned
An item in Friday’s International Herald Tribune correctly notes that John Kerry’s current position on Iraq is similar to the president’s, but all Kerry does is promise to do a better job. “Simply promising that things will turn around under a new administration isn't enough,” sayeth the op/ed.

New Staff Can’t Cure Kerry’s ‘Political Charade’
A whole gaggle of former Bill Clinton aides is trying to bail out the sinking Kerry campaign operation, but any staff problems that may or may not exist pale compared to the problems with Kerry himself. “In some elections, voters fall in love with a candidate. This time around, falling in love is just not possible,” writes columnist Joan Vennochi. Sort of confirms what James Carville and Paul Begala said way back in 1992 – it’s the candidate, stupid.

Growing the Nanny State With Kerry’s ‘Department of Wellness’?
If this is John Kerry’s idea of focusing more on domestic issues, it appears The Gang That Couldn’t Spin Straight has laid another egg. The Washington Times Friday editorialized on Kerry’s reported plan of establishing a ‘Department of Wellness.’ “It's not clear precisely what the Secretary of Wellness will do. But it's probably fair to expect that such a person will be a guardian of nanny-state liberalism,” muses the WashTimes.

Talkers Profile – Scott Hennen, WDAY/Fargo-Morehead
“Scott Hennen, host of Hot Talk on WDAY AM-970 and General Manager of WDAY Radio, has been heard in Fargo since 2001. Prior to that he hosted Hot Talk on KCNN in Grand Forks where he worked from 1984 to 2001. Hennen has been called the “Rush Limbaugh of the Prairie” by the Wall Street Journal. He has been named one of the Top-100 Most Important Talk Show Hosts in America every year since 1999.” (SOURCE: The Perry Center, Fargo, ND)

“$200 billion for going-it-alone in Iraq,” Kerry said. “That’s the wrong choice; that’s the wrong direction; and that’s the wrong leadership for America. It’s time to make it right.”

Kerry will have us believe that a price can be placed on Liberty. That my childrens very existance isn't worth the 200 billion dollar price tag... I am sorry John but my family is priceless... I served 22 years in the military to protect the freedoms of americans... I will not stand idly by why you sell off those freedoms and even suggest that those freedoms have a price tag. Whatever it takes, whatever it costs. Why would you compare the cost of the war to promoting social programs that won't matter if we don't erraticate the terrorists.

Kerry also lies a lot. I remember him claiming to have windsurfed out to Nantucket. The shortest route is from Hyannus on the cape. It's about 20 miles of open ocean. Not to mention the occasional shark. If he did do it, he's a dope. If he didn't do it he's a liar. After hearing him tell people he was a two tour vet in VN, and forget to mention he was not Irish for 20 years as my senator, I have to figure he's a liar.
