Galanti Is No Shill For Bush Campaign... To the Editor of the Times-Dispatch:
Until recently, I was truly conflicted about the furor surrounding the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth ads and the liberal response. .... instead of legal threats against media outlets and publishers, the Kerry campaign, through the DNC, John Edwards, and Kerry himself, has gone on the record denouncing the SBVT as "liars," "front men for the Bush campaign," and "Karl Rove's attack dogs." ....I have personal, first-hand knowledge of the character of one of the SBVT who appears in the latest round of ads that examine the effects of John Kerry's false testimony before Congress in 1971.....
I have known Paul Galanti for almost 30 years....If there is one thing that I am sure of, it is that Galanti is among the most honest men I have ever met. If he says something, then it is the truth, plain and simple. No nuances, no flip-flops, no legalistic word-parsing. Just the truth..... the accusation that Galanti would work for the Bush campaign in any way is ludicrous. he is no fan of George W. Bush.... Galanti worked as the state coordinator for John McCain in the 2000 primaries and opposed the election of Bush. He campaigned for Mark Warner's gubernatorial bid. Last time I checked, Governor Warner is a Democrat, not a Republican...Kyle Hancock. Mechanicsville Virginia ....(Read the rest of Kyle's letter to the editor at the link)
