Once again Israel shows the world that she is the light upon the nations. Willing to help even those people who would happily annihilate her if given the chance.
Russia does not want to annihilate Israel. There are two factors at play: 1. is the hold overs in the Russian State Department from the old Soviet and just post period, no different then in our own State Department...just as inept and just as damaging. 2. Russia has its own 14% Muslim population to deal with internally and Islamic neighbors, not to mention meddling by the West and everyone else.
It is much easier to sit back and pass judgement when Islamic states are not on your bordor...though judging by the reports of Islamics passing the southern border along with the Mexicans, that might change.
